Tim has coordinated the Spanish-speaking Ministries for Hope For Life / Herald of Truth Ministries since 2006. He has spent three decades working in Spanish ministry, including 15 years in Argentina. Tim is an elder at the University Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas, where he attends with his wife Carolina, and their two children, Daniel and Andrea.
Tim has co-authored three books with Steve Ridgell: Letters From The Lamb, Hope For Life and More Hope For Life, as well as a history of the churches of Christ in Cuba that was co-written with Cuban preacher Tony Fernández. Tim’s latest book, Church Inside Out, helps churches motivate their members to be actively ministering to the community around them.
John has been preaching 60 years. He holds three Master’s degrees, has written 18 books; sold 1.4 million copies. John conducts 18-20 weekend seminars every year.
Lauren & Owen Mitchell
Working with Marriage Dynamics Institute in Franklin, TN, Owen and Lauren Mitchell have been privileged to invest in hundreds of married couples all over the country since 1998. They know everyone has a story so they teach, equip, support, and encourage couples to make their story the best it can be. From Eustis, FL, Owen’s day job is property management and Lauren volunteers at a local pregnancy resource center. They’re partial to home but also love to hike and snorkel through God’s amazing creation. They love Jesus and family, are parents of two married children and grandparents to two fun, active, sweet, smart and loud grandsons.
Jim Miller is a Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Nurse. He works for the VA in the homeless program. Jim has twenty years of experience with Singles Ministry as a lay person. He plans retreats, seminars and continued education for churches and the community. Jim has been involved with the Equip Conference at every session since 2000 (except 2016 when on a mission trip.)
Dr. Jerry Rushford
Jerry is currently in his 41st year at Pepperdine University. Serving as Professor of Church History, Director of Church Relations and Director of the annual Pepperdine Bible Lectures for 30 years, and now Director of the Jerry Rushford Center for Research on Churches of Christ and the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement in Payson Library.
Dr. Jimmy Adcox
Jimmy Adcox has been the Senior Minister at the Southwest Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas for over 40 years. Southwest’s most recent focus has been on community engagement and multiplication as avenues to help people engage life with God. Jimmy is married to Ann and has 3 children and 9 grandchildren. He believes the future of the church depends on finding a renewed mission and once again learning to make disciples who make disciples. Jimmy has a Doctor of Ministry from Abilene Christian.
Dr. Joe Roberts
Dr. Joe Roberts is presently the preaching minister for the Collegeside Church of Christ in Cookeville, Tennessee having served in ministry since 1979 and is also the Interim Director for the School of Professional Studies at Tennessee Tech University. He is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and has three graduate degrees along with a doctorate from Florida Atlantic University in leadership. He has served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer, as the Director of the Spiritual Growth Workshop (Equip Conference) in Orlando, Florida, Co-Director of Blue Ridge Family Encampment in North Carolina and on various boards such as the American Red Cross and Advisory Board of Freed-Hardeman University. He and his wife Judy have been married since June of 1981 and have two grown children, Chad and Amy. Judy works in human resources for Tennessee Tech University.
Julie has been in full time ministry with her husband David for 34 years. They have been with the North Boulevard Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN for over 20 years. She is the mother of two amazing adults. Rachel Young Braziel and Jonathan Young, who have both married in the past 6 months. Julie is passionate about God and prayer and loves speaking about both. Julie has a MS in social work. The Equip conference is her favorite conference to attend and speak.
Slate Moore has worked with the Central congregation in Winter Haven for 3 years. Married to Julie, 4 kids- Lena, Leisel, Charleston, and Shepherd. He loves Jesus and loves to tell people about Him. Oh, and Roll Tide!
Mike O’Neal worked for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center for over 31 years, where He was awarded the Agency’s Outstanding Leadership Medal and two Exceptional Service Medals. Prior to his retirement he completed a special assignment in which he investigated mechanisms to provide spiritual support for astronauts. Along with his engineering degrees, he has a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from the Harding School of Theology. Mike is the author of four books published by 21st Century Christian: Good Lessons from Bad Guys; An Angel’s View: Encountering God through the Stories of the Heavenly Hosts; Created for Good Deeds; and Holy God, Holy People. Mike and his wife have two children and serve at the North Brevard Church of Christ in Titusville, FL.
Steve Ridgell loves Jesus and he loves people. He is a gifted, humorous, and passionate speaker. As Director of Ministry for Hope for Life, a Herald of Truth Ministry, he spends his time motivating, equipping, and inspiring Christians to share the good news of Jesus. Steve is a popular speaker for seminars, retreats, men’s conferences, and special Sundays. Author of Can I Tell You a Story, his most recent book is Followers Making Followers. Steve and Marsha enjoy hanging out with their five grandkids. He wishes he had time for hunting, fishing, and sports.
Keith is a leader of church weekend worship and singing workshops entitled, Praise & Harmony. He also directors an annual Worship Leader training one week every year. And when that’s not enough to keep him busy he is then is the Producer of congregational recordings (Praise & Harmony) featuring volunteer singers from churches from across the nation! Singing is his passion and he uses it to glorify God.
Robert Cox is a very ordinary guy who serves as the Senior Minister for the Crossings Church in Wentzville, Missouri. Robert has worked planting churches in the mid-west for over 30 years during which time, individual and congregational growth has hallmarked those plants. Robert's ministry has consistently focused on reaching out to the lost and raising up those who have been reached. As a result, the Crossings Church has grown from an initial 35 to over 500 in attendance (less than 5% of whom have restoration movement roots) and planted two new churches in the St. Louis area in the last four years with another plant scheduled for 2020.
Robert has been married to Rita, the love of his life for over 40 years. He feels extremely blessed to have a son, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and six grandchildren whose faith honors God and him. The passion of Robert's ministry flows from his genuine conviction that if God can use someone like him to make a difference, then he can use you as well!
Jack Evans, Jr.
Jack is a gospel preacher. He graduated from Southwestern Christian College and Abilene Christian Uninversity. He served at the Southwestern Church of Christ for 33 years before leaving last year. Previously he served at the Lake Como Church of Christ as a minister for 23 years. He is married to Vicky Evans and they are blessed with a bunch of children and grandchildren. Jack has authored 8 books, the most recent is titled Trouble in the Hood: What’s Love Got to Do With It. Jack’s life passions outside of the kingdom include hunting, fishing and the rodeo!!!!
Born in Tallahassee, FL Wesley has been preaching the gospel since 1985. He currently serves as the Senior Minister of the Southside Church of Christ in Orlando since December 1999. Throughout this period the congregation has experienced tremendous growth. Previously, he served as Minister at the Springhill Road Church in Tallahassee.
Wesley’s many accomplishments include: Graduating from Sunset Bible College with a degree in Family Christian Counseling. He is an Official State of FL Pre/Post Marriage Counselor and a trained Bereavement Counselor. He has facilitated numerous Marriage Enrichment Seminars throughout the brotherhood and has conducted meetings in Africa, the Caribbean, and several regions across the U.S.
Wesley is a Member/Officer of four boards: Florida State Lectureship; Southeastern Lectureship; Equip Conference; Florida Civil Rights Association – Chairman of Affairs. He has been married to the former Pamela Hadley since August 30, 1980. They have been blessed with 2 children, Johnathan Wesley, and Briana LeeAnn, and a beautiful grandson Cailen Wesley Skinner. He is a dedicated family man.
Wesley has a passion for golf and other sporting activities and enjoys these in his recreational time. His commitment to live a right relationship with God, together with his growing interest and abilities in the areas of public speaking and community service, provide for the foundation on which he steadfastly and eagerly stands in service as a gospel preacher, minister and counselor in the Lord’s church.
Samuel has been a member of the body of Christ for more than 23 years. He met his wife Roxy, at their home congregation, the Northside Church of Christ in Jacksonville, FL. Sam and Roxy have been married for 24 years. They have a daughter, Lauren and a son, Patrick. Sam has led a variety of ministries during his tenure in the Church such as the singles, Bible school and married couples.
Sam’s extensive corporate career has spanned various industries and geographic regions for more than 30 years. His areas of expertise include human resources, management, training and consulting. Sam currently leads the HR division for a North Florida health care provider. He is also a member of the faculty of University of Phoenix where he teaches graduate-level courses in Management and Human Resources.
Driven by a love of the Church, Sam shares his expertise with Churches throughout the country as a consultant. He assists them with leadership development and strategic planning to navigate the ever-changing environment of the 21st century. He is widely known for his innovative training and inspirational teaching style.
Xerxes is a native of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He began preaching in 1992 in Montgomery, AL where he served as Youth Minister for the Finley Ave Church of Christ for 2 years and Assistant Minister for the Cottage Grove Church of Christ in Rockford, AL. He received his first full-time ministerial position in Panama City, and served the Glenwood Church of Christ for 5 years. He has served as the Senior Minister of the Ninth Street Church for the past 16 years.
Xerxes educational background includes: Broward Christian School; Dekalb Community College and Georgia State University in Atlanta. Xerxes and his wife, Lisa have been married 26 years. They have two adult sons and four grandchildren.
